Final Fan Film Winner
October 19, 2006 – 10:20 pmThe last LOST puzzle has been won and it is not Bas! King Bas was dethroned. We recieved a record number of entries for this edition of the contest!
Bas, your intro to the numbers video was, quite possible, the coolest thing Steve and I have ever seen. (We might just need to borrow it!) However, the rest of the video gave me nightmares! I haven’t slept since I recieved it. Talking blueberries or something?!?
You’re blue screening technology is great. I haven’t seen amature work come out that nicely with that technology! What are you using? My blue screening experience went horribly… See for yourself: Impending Doom [http://somegreatsite.com/doom.htm]
It had script issues too…
Well Bas, we thank you for your unbridled enthusiasm for this contest. It was great fun to watch your videos! However, I thought we would spread the puzzle wealth a little bit… Sending all three puzzles to one guy… well, I’d like more LOST fans to enjoy the puzzles. And, I don’t want you to be so busy putting puzzles together that you lose your job.
So I’ve decided this weeks winner is someone with no job. He can use the puzzle to procrastinate from homework. Thats what I would do.
This weeks winner is a boy who considers Stephen and I “heroes.” He once told me we were the greatest people ever. Also, he enjoys Mac computers and editing videos and Frisbee. He really wants to be me. So he gets a puzzle. Congratulations, Will!
This is also good because it will be cheaper to send a puzzle to Will then it will be to Bas. You can both expect your puzzles soon. They will be sent as soon as my secretary (my mom) gets around to it, since I left the puzzles at home.
Hope you all enjoyed last nights episode and look for the fan films in a podcast this weekend (if I feel like it).

Congrats Will, cool that there actually are some other entries this time

Also.. that Impending Doom movie is SO weird.. I love it! Dancing monkeys and terrible Brittish accents.. damn
I think you main problem with your blue screening was that you didnt use good lighting (use 2 lights so you don’t have problems with weird looking shadows) and also you should mark of the important area so there are no pieces of ground or anything in the footage. Also, the colours in the bluescreenfootage look weird?
Well.. it has been fun entering these contests.. thanks guys!
