Well Razzle Dazzle…

Well Razzle Dazzle...

What an interesting episode… I’m not really sure how to react…

But I’m not the only one who was really hoping that when Nikki opened her eyes, Hurley would see her and then say “Ahhhhh, Zombies” and then beat her to death with his shovel.

Am I?

  2. That ending would have been even better. So I guess Nikki and Paulo were completely purposeless characters, that really annoys me. Seemed like the flashbacks were kind of forced, like the writers just wanted to make Nikki and Paulo seem relevant to the show when they were not. Get Rose and Bernard back on the show.

  3. It was a weird episode. I liked the way they told the story, and that Niki and Paulo discovered all the big mysteries before Locke did. I just don’t know what Niki and Paulo contributed to the story. They were added in such a abrubt way, I thought they would play an important part eventually. Now it seems they just were a way to show Ben and Julliet visited the Pearl hatch..

And I still don’t like them.. well.. ok.. maybe if they’d show more Expos?© flashbacks.. :P

  5. Yay! ^^

And I completely forgot about Rose and Bernard.. where are they? Kinda weird that these characters, who even got a flashback, just dissappear like this..

  6. Some people will probably hate me for saying this, but honestly I liked Nikki and Paulo. At least until that moment when Nikki looked at Paulo in the flashback and said “DId you really need to make me eat the same food as him?” and then ran into his closet. Then, at that moment I knew why people hated them! But, at the end when Nikki opened her eyes and Sawyer and Hurley buried them I suddenly hated them! Has anyone noticed the pattern, that whenever someone is set to die it’s ALWAYS their flashback! I mean a main character not someone like the pilot or Artz. It was cool to see him again too!

  7. This episode reminded me of The Lion King 1.5 did anyone see that movie?

  8. Yea I actually just saw it at my school in geography, it did remind me of it cuz like it showed you where they were at the airport, in the midst of the crash, opening of the hatch, etc.

  9. Hi, i thought about this episode a lot, i never hated Niki and Paulo, but I found the ending disturbing and wierd, but then i thought about that maybe Desmond can see their death now? maybe vincent start digging, and desmond gets flash backs of them dying… could be cool…

and maybe the point of the writers to put niki and paulo in the show is because that maybe paulo talked with the others over the radio? mabe the radio is key now?

anyways just my thoughs :) peace out - NPL (Danish)

  10. I could be wrong here but to me Nikki and Paulo seemed to be replacement sex symbols during Jack, Sawyer, and Kate’s jaunt to the “Other’s Island.” They always did seem to be thrust into scenes and events where they had no business other than to please the eyes. Heck, as far as I could tell, they didn’t even have characters until this episode; just one line drop-ins to give them a reason to be there. This episode, while it did a good job of giving them actual characters to play and a back story, just seemed like creative backpeddling to justify a failed attempt at unwanted new characters. I would love to believe that this was the arc for these two all along but it was so forced and landed right at the moment that I believe the bloggers of the world could tolerate Nikki and Paulo no longer. You know what was a hot, passionate love story? Bernard and Rose. Just because they are older, interracial, and married doesn’t make the flame of their lovestory burn any less bright…. sorry, I got very cheesy there but I really like Bernard and Rose. Apparently, I am not alone and their storyline now (they CANNOT leave the Island… maybe they never did or never will) seems ripe with possibility. Oh well, at least Nikki and Paulo are dead.

  11. I personally appologized, but now I would hope to make it known publically that I enjoy this site quite a bit, I meant no disrespect, and I appreciate all of the work that goes into it. Thanks!

  12. I agree with Hey Man about the end. I was so upset when Nikki opened her eyes and couldn’t say anything.

  13. This is not about the most recent epi, but I am hoping someone out there can answer this question for me for sure. On You-Tube (and I realize to take all of these “Dharma Videos” with a grain of salt) there is a video clip called “Dharma Initiative Classifications.” The quality seems to be similar to the reel-to-reel quality of authenitc videos but I have never seen nor heard anyone talk about or validate what this info. If it is valid, it is very interesting; esp. things like “Claraudience” (Walt?), ectopic research and monoclonal studies, and Boson String Theory. A lot of these things have scientific (or Sci-Fi-entific) roots and it seems too good to be another hoax. A big question, though, why do the Stations that we know as the Arrow and the Hydra seem to have swapped research purposes with each other? Or am I the last one to a “snipe-hunt?”
