Moments ago I was alerted by the Quicktime Trailers RSS feed of a new trailer. Unlike most of the trailers listed in that feed this one had no synopsis, director, or cast listed. It was also unclear if it even has a name, listing only the release date: 1-18-08. My curiosity encouraged me to immediately take a look and I think you should too.

This is what a teaser trailer should be like! It’s awesome! I’m looking forward to seeing what this film will be like.
I don’t think it’ll be all filmed with in this handycam-style, but it would be cool to see a major monstermovie, like Godzilla, filmed in this style.

The credits on the trailer say the name of the film will be ‘A Bad Robot’.

Bad Robot is the production company, they are also the production behind Lost. So that’s not the title of the movie.

Is this really a trailer for an actual film or is it a red herring for LOST? The monster in the movie sounds like the smoke monster in LOST. Am i dreaming or am i awake?

It’s a real movie but no one really knows anything about it, besides what you see in the trailer that is. I hope the secrecy continues cause movies these days get spoiled so easily, sometimes by their own marketing campaigns.
Does it tie in with Lost? I don’t think so but anything is possible, and that would be pretty cool if it did.

I heard that JJ. Abrams never said what his company BAD ROBOT meant and this movie may INFACT be what the movie is about!!!!!! So maybe there is something to the logo being tied into the movie! IRONMAN perhaps!

If you check this site: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1060277/ (at imdb.com), you’ll see the trailer is for a movie called so far “Untitled JJ Abrams Project” - You’ll see the beheaded Statue of Liberty and the plot outline says, “Revolves around a monster attack in New York as told from the point of view of a small group of people.” So it is, in fact, a real movie, as yet untitled. It appears the only connections is that Mr. Abrams of LOST is also doing the movie.
