I have heard few things about this episode, because I refuse to give into the temptation of spoilers, but I have heard that there have been many spoilers circulating around Lost websites about the last few episodes of this season and I’m glad I haven’t seen any so I can enjoy the end of the season as it was intended to be enjoyed.

In other news, we have another Lost puzzle and several of the Lost action figures to give away so keep a look out for new contests that will be occurring very soon.

Namaste new and faithful readers. You may have noticed a lull in our blog posting. I did try to fill the void with those long awaited fan films from nearly a year ago (and if you haven’t seen those, you better check them out right now). I am sure there were many factors that played into the lack of posting for each of the bloggers on this site but for me personally, my postings have diminished because I quit spoilers. Not so much the general ones, like who’s flashback episode is next, or what the premise of the next episode is, but the spoilers that reveal juicy details, for example just last week I heard a spoiler that parachute girl would tell the survivors that the wreckage of flight 815 was found and there were no survivors. If I hadn’t read that spoiler, then that would have been an amazing ending to the episode, but instead I knew it was coming. Therefore I’m steering clear of spoilers as Lost accelerates towards the season finale.

Tonight’s episode confirmed the very popular theory, that John Locke’s Dad was the original Sawyer. It was really no surprise since that theory has been around for a very long time but it was refreshing to see that plot line come to a conclusion. The second biggest thing in this episode was the contemplation of the revelation that flight 815 had no survivors, and the corroborating testimony from Locke’s father. Other than those two fairly big things, not much else was answered. The others are as nonsensical as ever, can someone tell me what those people do, well I guess they can’t tell us everything.

Some fans of Lost thrive on the characters and their relationships with each other, and while I do enjoy that aspect, I find that I’m much more interested in the mythology of the show, and especially the Dharma Initiative. Next week’s episode looks to be a revealing look at Dharma and I can’t wait! I’m interested to see just what will be revealed about Dharma, and how it may relate to what we saw during the Lost Experience.

So as I continue my withdrawal from spoiler addiction, I can feed on the excitement and anticipation of the last few episodes of the season, which I’m sure will be amazing.

A new official Lost podcast was just released by ABC. It’s another fun half hour filled with crazy banjo ramblings, an interview with Henry Ian Cusack and some info on the upcoming episodes. The podcast is available on the ABC website, but for those who don’t want to listen to the entire podcast I wrote down some stuff that sounded the most important to me.

- First Damon and Carlton clarified a few things about the last episode ‘Flashes Before Your Eyes’. The experience Desmond had obviously was not a normal flashback, but what he experienced after he turned the key. It really happened and he could use his future memories to make a different choice. Also they stated that the ‘flashback’ took place in 1996.

- Another thing about that episode was when Mrs. Hawkings said that everyone would die. According to Damon and Carlton, with everyone she meant everyone on the world, not just ‘her people’ or The Others or something like it.

- Carlton is a great banjo player. Really..

- Then they told about some things to come. First about the upcoming episode ‘A Stranger in a Strange Land’. In the promo’s it’s announced that three huge mysteries are being solved. Damon and Carlton however said that it’s a promo-stunt, and it really is about one huge mystery, the background on Jack’s tattoos. They also said that we would see Cindy and some other Tailies (teddybear-kid) again.

- Finally they said Rousseau won’t get her flashback until the fourth season. Rousseau knows a lot about the island, and that information would be very useful to the Losties. They think she’s crazy, so they won’t approach her about information soon. Carlton and Damon also hinted at a crossover, where Rousseau would appear in some other person’s flashback, probably during her sixteen years on the island. Maybe Ben’s?

First of all, that episode was amazing. We will have a recap entry a little bit later on after we had some time to absorb it all. But the matter I need to discuss involves that mysterious oracle-like lady Desmond encountered when looking for an engagement ring, I will call her Mrs. Oracle.

The big question in my mind is… “Is Jack’s tattoo inquirer (from next week’s promo and Lost Moment 13) the same as Desmond’s Mrs. Oracle?” Look at the pictures and tell me what you think. If it is the same person this opens up a whole new can of worms that I will not get into right now. The episode blew my mind enough! Is she real, smoke-monster, sub-conscious manifestation, Karen DeGroote, gah! Lets figure out if it’s the same person first, discuss in the comments.

The wait is almost over so lets take a look at what we can expect from the next new episode of Lost before the Taktometer flips to zero. “Not in Portland” is the seventh episode of the third season of Lost and is the first new episode to air since Lost began its three-month hiatus in November of 2006. Now on to the spoilers. If you don’t like spoilers, stop reading now.

If you’ve been keeping up with the Lost Moments that have been airing on ABC every week, then you’ve already seen a bunch of spoilerific scenes from not only this episode, but several of the new batch of episodes. If you haven’t seen these Lost Moments a quick search on YouTube will bring them all instantly to your screen.

“Not in Portland” is a Juliet centric episode in which we will learn a lot about this sexy new character. We will learn how she ended up on the island, who brought her there, how long she’s been there, and much more. On the island side of things we will have many revelations as well. We will learn some more about the others and their relationships with the children they have kidnapped. We will also get a look at a chilling video Karl is forced to watch. The video stresses mankind’s negative impact on earth and is rather propagandaish. You’ll want to tivo this part for sure. We will see some sort of a conclusion over at the hydra station pertaining to Kate and Sawyer’s escape and what happens with Jack, Juliet, Ben, and the rest of those others. Ben is not going to die, hence Jack will complete the surgery.

A few more rumors: Juliet makes a male mouse pregnant, a bus hits someone, Alex knows Ben as Dad, Juliet gets a job – but it’s not in Portland, and it is likely Juliet arrived on the island on or close to September 11, 2001 (3 years, 2 months and 23 days ago) if the 9-11 thing is true that would make the current island date December 4, 2004.

“Michelle Rodriguez and Cynthia Watros have officially left the show. There was some speculation that Cynthia left because she got another job, that is not true. She started looking for work because her contract is not going to be renewed. For Rodriguez, the circumstances are the same: forces in the ABC heirachy told LOST producers to can them based on the ongoing bad press.

Harold Perineau is also apparently leaving the show after contract negotiations broke apart several months back. His people are upset over mega bonuses being offerred to what is considered “key” cast members.” – Tail Section

Authentic LOST Call Sheet?

Let’s not count out the possibility this is a fake, or a red herring left by the producers of LOST to throw us off. Only time will tell.

Now on to S.O.S.

There actually isn’t all that much to talk about as fas as S.O.S. goes. I found the episode a bit boring and it had none of the island mythology that captures are attention. The end brought a little redemption as it was pretty exciting.

This episode was about Rose & Bernard. Bernard wanted to make an S.O.S. symbol on the beach, Rose thought it was a bad idea. Thats basically it. We find out Rose was ill and the island healed her, but she lies to Bernard about being healed before the plane crash by an Australian healer…

I want to know what the numbers on the Dharma food items mean as we are shown them repeatedly, including in this episode.

We now know Rose was ill before she was on the island. She was in remmission from cancer. This island healed her, like it did Locke. Also, Rose knew Locke’s secret (that he was in a wheelchair). We learned this in a flashback crossover where Locke hands rose her medication when she drops it in the airport. This is pretty signifigant, I think.

It appears the island has healing powers of some sort. The healer Rose visited in Australia said that the spot he was located at was special because of magnetic forces. Perhaps it is the magnetic forces on the island which heal people, and perhaps this healing power is part of the reason Dharma chose this island for their studies.

Michael finally returned (although he wasn’t gone as long as it seemed, but when we have as many repeats as we’ve had, it seems like forever). Michael did not look his healthiest when he returned, and we all look forward to the next episode of LOST.

The next few weeks will be rough. Hold yourself over by watching the preview for “Two for the Road”

By the way… It is a church that Eko and Charlie are building. We’ll see what kind of role this plays down the road.

The synopsis for “Two for the Road,” tells us that “Jack and Kate bring an exhausted Michael back to the camp, and with him, news about “The Others.” Meanwhile, Ana Lucia attempts to get the prisoner to confess, and Hurley plans a surprise date for Libby.”

In promos for “S.O.S.” we see someone with a torch, whom we are assuming is Michael, returning from his trek in the jungle. A promotional photo from “S.O.S.” shows Jack and Kate startled by something or someone and we are assuming this is also Michael.

I predict that Michael will show up at the end of the episode much in the way that Claire returned in season 1; right at the episodes conclusion leaving us wanting answers to where he has been.

With Michael, we may also see more Vincent (people have been asking where he is).

Not much is known about Rose and Bernards back story and not many clues were provided by the promotional photographs on ABCMediaNet. There are rumors that Ana Lucia will apear in their flashbacks, but this cannot be confirmed, nor denied.

I highly doubt the flashback will be the most interesting part of this episode (see the previews, below, for yourself) but I’ve been wrong before.

Prepare yourself for more interrogation, a possible prisoner exchange (Walt for Gale), Locke attempting to redraw the map (He’d be better off looking at the interactive version), and for Jack and Kate venturing back out to the line they were told never to cross. A booby trap captures someone (looks like Jack and Kate) in a net and we see a glimpse of a doll. More island mythology and mystery awaits us on this weeks episode of LOST.

So first of all, our suspicions about Faux-Gale have been confirmed. He is in fact one of them, an “other”. And secondly, Who is “He”: this tempermental leader of the others.

Its official description is as follows; Libby lends Hurley support when he begins to think the island is having a strange effect on him, and Locke’s sense of purpose is shaken when the prisoner provides new information about the hatch.

First of all, a lot of our questions should be answered here. The “new information” from the prisoner should be interesting. What does Faux-Gale have to say? What does he know about the hatch, why they’re hitting the button, and why those blast doors came down? I can’t wait to find out.

Some photos leaked out on the web a few weeks ago (thanks to this site where I found them) from this upcoming episode. They provide a lot of hints to what will occur in the episode.

We’ve already shown you this picture… but here it is again. Libby was a patient in the Santa Rosa Mental Health Institute.

So maybe Hurley never stepped on Libby’s foot on the plane and he recognizes her from elsewhere. But is anyone else concerned that the psychiatrist is a nut her self?

The next picture is important.

See that? That’s Hurley and his imaginary friend, Dave.

And see the photographer? He has photographic evidence that Hurley thinks he has an imaginary friend. Only Hurley is in that photographic.

Is he schizophrenic?

I can’t wait to see! Hurley episodes are always pretty fun and this one looks promising. Naturally these predictions could be incorrect, but this appears to be the truth.

“The Whole Truth” was an episode that I found to be quite anticlimactic, it was just slightly better than I expected. The possibility that Sun could have cheated on Jin with that Hotel guy that we met earlier was interesting. Everything else was kind of boring, and inconclusive as usual with the Sun Jin episodes. And I had to read subtitles. We did find out that Sun is pregnant which introduces a new mystery but other than that we didn’t get much. The Henry Gale situation has now become much more important with the search for the balloon and all, which will set us up nicely for Lockdown.

What’s going to happen in Lockdown? You may wonder. Here is what I think: In the promo we’ve seen that Sayid, Ana Lucia, and Charlie find a balloon. Either Henry Gale is telling the truth or he and the others set up a trap, it’s really a toss up because both possibilities are feasible. ABC photos show that they will find a grave first, most likely that of Henry Gale’s wife, then realize it’s not raining and look up to see the balloon. In the preview we see Sayid in the hatch pointing a gun at someone, most likely Henry Gale, so we know that at least Sayid will return from the trip. Maybe Ana Lucia and Charlie won’t make it back, or maybe what they find puts doubt into Henry’s story which angers Sayid.

We also see Jack and Kate running through the jungle at night with torches looking for something, who knows what that could be.

But the main part of this episode is about Locke. It appears that the computer system malfunctions, creating strange noises in the alarm system speakers and power fluctuations, likely preventing the entering of the code and leading to a lockdown of the hatch. This will leave Locke and Henry trapped in the hatch together, a potential love story. In the official Lost podcast the producers eluded to the possibility that Locke might once again loose the ability to move his legs.

In Locke’s flashbacks he attends a funeral, perhaps his mother’s, with his girlfriend Helen and will also run into his kidney stealing father.

The promos also state that five events will happen on the island, each one more shocking and unimaginable than ever before. I could try to guess what these events might be but I don’t want to end up being wrong, the lockdown is probably one of them. In conclusion, this is going to be a superb episode with many secrets revealed and new ones uncovered, thoroughly enjoyable. Next week’s episode “Dave” (Hurley centric) is going to be a good one too!

However, one of our hopes has not been completely dashed. Jin can’t be the father because of medical reasons exposed to us in a flashback. The father could still be Hurley. Or maybe Sun was doin’ it with the man who taught her English.

Anna-Lucia, Charlie, and Sayid are out searching for Henry Gale’s baloon (and will find it next episode according to the preview).

Meanwhile, Gale was doing a number on Jack and Locke. His speech that closed out tonight’s episode was nothing short of bizzare and creepy. While we know it [the speech] doesn’t have much merit (there really is a baloon), it still raises a few eyebrowes.

What is Gale’s motivation. If he isn’t one of them… why is he trying to turn things at camp upside down.

I’ll be scratching my head all week. The next episode looks like a shocker – the promo claims that five shocking events will occur. The baloon is discovered, the blast doors close (did they miss hitting the button?) and an odd noise comes through the hatch speakers. What else will happen? This looks to be a thrilling episode.

For some reason I am always bored and annoyed by Sun and Jin’s flashbacks. Maybe it has to do with reading the subtitles, that makes me do more work than I’d really like to. I guess people who speak Korean can enjoy it, but I don’t. Maybe I don’t like their flashbacks because I don’t find them terribly interesting. I feel that their stories seem to drag or come to unfulfilling conclusions. They usually provide some information about their relationship with each other, something I’m not all that concerned with, I’d rather hear more about Locke, or how Hurley is connected to the Dharma Initiative through the numbers, ya know, something interesting towards the overall plot of the show, we’ve had enough character development and relationship development for Sun and Jin, it’s not that interesting, Lost isn’t really about that, I don’t see how this relationship could be building the foundation for more connections in the future so just stop it, they’re just cheap fillers. You can disagree, but I simply don’t like Sun and Jin episodes. So that’s one reason I’m not looking forward to this episode.

Second reason is Ana Lucia, She’s going to take charge to get info from Henry Gale. I like getting info and hope we get some but I don’t like Ana Lucia and seeing her is not a pleasant viewing experience for me after I’ve seen how much of a bitch she has been, not to mention being a murderer on multiple occasions which doesn’t seem to bother her.

I am looking forward to seeing what happens with Henry Gale, some pictures have surfaced of a balloon that can be seen in a previous entry in this blog. I’m going to go ahead and make the prediction that Henry Gale is not an other, and they just made him seem like one to get us worked up.

In terms of the Sun Jin thing: So maybe Sun finds out she’s pregnant in this episode, I guess that would tie in if the others steal the baby but it still sounds boring to me. What I’d really like is what my good friend Rob has already predicted, that Hurley is the baby’s daddy. That would definitely be an interesting twist. Though the time of conception of this child, if there is one, would be a hard thing to figure out. How soon after conception would someone start feeling the changes to their body? Was there enough time since the reunion of Sun and Jin to start feeling changes? Maybe when Michael saw Sun naked back in season one, they subsequently threw down and made a baby, we just never saw it happen. Who knows and who cares, pregnant, not pregnant, others steal it, whatever, it’s all happened before.

I hope that I am wrong and this episode turns out better than I expect it to, but still, my expectations will remain low until proven wrong.
